Steam
turbine vacuum leaks can be difficult and time consuming to find.
Often it is not one large leak but several smaller leaks that
cause the most frustration. Industrial Leak Testing
can quickly pinpoint these leaks and
have your turbine running at full vacuum.
The process is
simple. We place the probe of a mass spectrometer type helium leak
detector into the exhaust of the vacuum pumps. We then spray a
tracer gas (helium) around areas suspected of leaking. The tracer
gas is forced through the leakage path and is detected at the
exhaust by the mass spec. This method of testing allows us to
pinpoint leaks with a high degree of accuracy. THE TURBINE DOES NOT
NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN FOR THIS PROCEDURE.
Our ASNT
certified technicians can be at your facility anywhere in the world
usually within a day or two. Our rates are low enough to compete
even with companies in your region.
